About Us

Wind power, built where you work.

Foundation Windpower, LLC develops, owns, and operates on-site wind turbines for businesses facing large energy demand and high energy costs. Headquartered in Lafayette, California, we deliver renewable generation at a discount to utility rates — with no capital cost to our customers.

Foundation Windpower turbine over agricultural fields

Our customers include mines, quarries, distribution centers, agricultural processors, water treatment facilities, refrigerated warehouses, and other large energy users looking to save money through renewable generation.

We offer Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) at either a fixed price or a discount indexed to remain a fixed percentage below utility rates — so customers can choose the structure that best fits their operational and financial planning needs.

Why We Do It

Renewable energy, without the complexity.

Cost certainty

We sell electricity directly to our customers at a price below utility rates — either fixed or indexed to remain a fixed percentage below the grid.

No capital cost

We finance, build, and maintain every turbine at no cost to the customer. Operations face no disruption and no upfront investment.

Environmental stewardship

On-site wind dramatically reduces hydrocarbon emissions and offers a visible symbol of a commitment to American energy independence.

Seamless grid integration

Net Energy Metering lets excess generation flow back to the grid for credit. When wind is idle, the facility buys grid power as usual.
